Revit 2017.2.2 update not installing

I have tried running the update multiple times, to no avail. I've also tried using a copy of the .exe my coworker was able to download, also to no avail. This update is imperative to many projects I'm working on, as they have had issues crashing and the crash report said this is the fix.

Hi,

I am having the same issue on several workstations, error code is 1328.:revit 2017 2.2 update error.JPG

Revit dll can not be updated because it has been changed already by some other patch?

Hi All,

just to help someone else so they avoid having to reinstall packages again, this is what happened.

I had Revit 2017.2 and Revit 2018.1 installed at the same time. Absolutely imaginable scenario for the end of 2017. to have 2018 installed with the latests upgrade, I think.

Well, after this point you cant have 2017 and 2018 together. If you upgrade 2018 up to 2018.2, 2017 can't be upgraded any more. Fact.

After losing 1 working day on this, I have deinstalled both 2017 and 2018 (!!!!???) and the reinstalled default 2017. Then I have applied 2.2 patch and it did work. Now, I dont have 2018 installed just until I can switch to it without having to use 2017. Which will be maybe in a year's time.

Who is going to bring me back my lost day?

Thank you Autodesk, once again, you have done it. Why make it work when it can be broken.
