No, the Desktop app is running in my system tray and when I right click and select Open then the error message is displayed in an empty Autodesk Window:

Here is the text from that message box including periods in Message:

"Failed to load URL https://df-prod.autocad360.com/wingman/CI/7.0.16.29/Release/index.html?lang=en-US&dpiRate=1.000000&v... with error A connection was reset (corresponding to a TCP RST). (-101)."

Your thoughts?

Hi@ samgZGFGM,

Thanks for your reply.

could you please check did your system supports autodesk applications or not?

Could you please try this?

Exit Autodesk desktop app(from system tray menu)
Stop AdAppMgr Service(task manager)
%Programdata% > Autodesk > Delete the “SDS” folder
Restart Autodesk desktop app.

Please let me know if it works.

Regards,

Srinivas.

I have not been able to find the following:
%Programdata% > Autodesk > Delete the "SDS" folder
I went to the Program folder, then Autodesk Folder but could not find an SDS folder to delete?

I have a very similar problem. Initially, Autodesk Desktop App would not open (white screen). I read up on your knowledge database and eventually got to a page that showed you to reinstall the Desktop App. https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Install-Autodesk-Desktop...

I follow all the steps, even those posted above, but still battling to get the software working.

By the way, it's the Revit LT 2020 Suite.

Have you tried any of the solutions from this article?

I have indeed done so. Although the PC specs are good, it seemed to have
started roundabout an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Could this have
an influence on the License Manager not working? We have tried different
accounts, which also made no difference.

So what was the outcome for each of the solutions? Is the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service running and set to Automatic or Automatic (Delayed) start? Did you update it to the latest version (you can check it by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing and checking that you have a folder called "9.2.2.2501" inside)? Did you try re-registering the product, did it go through successfully? Did the CommonAppData string exist with the correct value in the registry? Have you disabled all your antivirus software, performed a clean uninstall and reinstalled via Browser Download? If this all fails it might be worth opening a support case with Autodesk.

After stepping through each of the options, rebooting and testing, no
change.

. Is the Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service running and set to
Automatic or Automatic (Delayed) start? - check

. Updated to latest version 9.2.2.2501 - check

. C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing
and checking that you have a folder called "9.2.2.2501" inside)? - check

. Did you try re-registering the product, did it go through
successfully? - check, successful

. Did the CommonAppData string exist with the correct value in the
registry? - regenerated when reinstalling the licensing services app?

. Have you disabled all your antivirus software - check, nothing
installed (maybe Defender is running in the background?)

. clean uninstall and reinstalled via Browser Download? - check

I have logged a support case with Autodesk.

Thank you for your help.
