Did you know you can establish a temporary reference point as a base point for offsetting subsequent points?

The From command modifier establishes a temporary reference point as a base point for offsetting subsequent points and usually is used in combination with object snaps.

It enables users to choose a temporary reference point than the selected base point origin; This can be achieved by choosing From from the snap override menu.

At a prompt for a point, enter From. Alternately, press Shift and right-click to display the object snap menu, and then choose FROM.
