Updating the Autodesk Access application

We are looking for ways to keep out Autodesk software up-to-date in a centralized way. We currently use Autodesk Access and setup the registry key to give end users the ability to update their programs. What we saw that the Autodesk Access application isn't always up-to-date.

We see it in the Winget packages, but we can't update it though this. We get an error "Installer hash does not match; this cannot be overridden when running as admin". Would it be possible to update this application through intune or with Winget.

I've read you guys and girls are working on a centralized way to update and deploy the software with Autodesk Access. So it would be really handy for us admins to be able to quickly deploy the tools and it's updates from a tool like intune.

Autodesk Access will only work if you give your end users Admin permissions. And even then it remains to be seen how accurate Access is. I've seen lots of posts about updates offered for products not installed and updates NOT offered for installed products.

We use the Domain Shutdown script to install updates for various products. I guess Intune can do the same thing.

With Intune you can only publish a .msi installation. That doesn't work with the Revit Updates Autodesk makes available. The Autodesk Access is not "bad" it could be better, but it works in most cases for us, but you need to put it on machines.

If Autodesk could publish MSI versions for CAD managers or system admins of the updates that would solve alot of problems because they would works with excisting systems.

The update files are basically a bunch of .msi files wrapped in a .exe file. You can unpack them using something like 7Zip. But it's not just the .msi files you need - the installer itself performs some work as well, so just installing the .msi files is most likely not enough for a proper update....
