What is the difference between AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT?

QA_Admin

Hello, I am looking to purchase either AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT, I know LT doesn’t have 3D capabilities but what are other differences?

The main difference between AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT is the fact that AutoCAD LT does not have the ability to create 3D drawings. AutoCAD LT cannot use lisp routines, cannot run third-party add-ons, cannot run macros, and cannot attach point clouds. There are other differences, but those are the main ones. For a complete list of the differences read this:  AutoCAD vs. AutoCAD LT.

The main difference between AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT is the fact that AutoCAD LT does not have the ability to do or view 3D drawings. AutoCAD LT is limited compared to AutoCAD, in the fact that it cannot use lisp routines, cannot run third-party add-ons, cannot run macros, and cannot attach point clouds. There are other differences, but those are the main ones. For a complete list of the differences read this:  AutoCAD vs. AutoCAD LT.

Hope this helps!
