Can driver tags be arranged so it will automatically get the tag of the connected equipment with a prefix.
For example if the pump tag is P-101, Driver tag will be M-P101.
would like to see content packs from different relief valve manufacturers : pentair / crosby, flowserve, griffco, etc..
would also like to see additional features around relief valve actuators to include a port for a bellows vent / bellows piping, and nitrogen supply piping to a pilot actuator
Vault Icon should indicate more recent file is available and has been replicated to user’s site.
When using replication, it can be hard to tell when a more recent file has been made available and has been replicated to the user's site so they can get the latest version.
the ability to rename isometrics in the project manager. to create an isometric from the project manager without having to run an iso...just better overall control similar to the model section of the manager.
When using one model drawing for equipment and a second model drawing for piping and creating an Isometric the Isometric will show "Open End" at the flange that is connected to the equipment nozzle in the XRef. It should state the equipment number the same as it does when the equipment and piping are in the same drawing.
control valves must have following options :
-build as one object
-build as 2 objects (valve and actuator) with two tagnumbers
with option to switch between these.
control valve can be purchased as one object, but can be a valve form manufacturer A and actuator from B
Not so much an idea as request for Autodesk to fix an issue. When creating orthographic view text from model dose't show in orthographic drawing. This should be possible without need to explode text or other workarounds. I just do't understand the benefit of hiding text from model in orthographic view.
Or am I missing something?
You are able to create and assign long description styles for family and size in the spec. These styles will be used in the properties "Long description (Famile respectively Size) of the component in the project. But it won't be used in the dynamic tool palette. Best will be if the long description style (family) will be used for the dynamic tool palette.
You are able to xref Navisworks underlays into a Plant model but they won't be shown in the ortho views. It will be great if this will be changed.
I believe it would be an advantage to have an option to add a xclip of an area out in a model before seting up the boundry box when you are creating a new view in ortho creation. Some models can be very large and can take a large amount of time to update and you sometimes have to drag the view creation boundry box a long way to set up the area for your ortho. If you could use the xclip function then once that is complete the boundry box could start at the xclip boundry as a starting point then it would be a simple fine tune to get the view required. This could be a way to reduce the amount of information that needs to be checked during the update process and this would speed up the update process on large models. The othe advantage is that you would have a clearer view of the area to set up the view boundry box.
Now there is no opportunity to edit connection between pipe and support. We really need to set up this connection by outside diameter and we can not do it. It would be very useful to realize it in next Plant 3D version.
My company is currently trying to link Autocad P&ID with the Plant 3D. Not validate but have them linked so all the information stored in the P&ID such as tank capacity, tag, voltage, etc. is passed onto the Plant 3D model. We are also trying have these properties imported from Vault.
Plant objects in a drawing need the tag number and other properties retained when copied; within the same drawing or to another drawing. It is understood the tag number will change to have a ? at the end of the tag in order to avoid tag duplication but existing properties should be retained.
Easy to place but a pain to place it at an exact location without being able to use point filters or referencing a point to line it up with.
Currently the only way I can see is to use the move command then re-attach it to the pipe component. BIG waste of time.
ALLOW THE USE OF POINT FILTERS, or add some kind of referencing system so we can line up shoes with supports QUICKLY.
It is common practice to create a master project template which has the basic configuration for starting a new project.
New projects are created from the master template and inevitably changes will be made to the template project. If these changes could be synchronized to the sub-projects it would save a lot of time for the P&ID administrators.

I would like to have consistent dimensions on all drawings including across continuation drawings.
When a valve or a fitting is on the same Isometric it is dimensioned to the IP point and connecting lines are dimensioned to the centerline of the connecting pipeline, but when there is a continuation drawing the dimensions finish at the end of a pipe or fitting, as a rule you do not terminate a dimension at a welded or screwed joint.
