In our company, filenames for building drawings are automatically generated, for example, 12345_BU_0001, 12345_BU_0002, and so on. These filenames are very generic and do not provide detailed information about the file's content. We include more precise details about the building or the specific file in the "Description" field. For instance, in the attached example, the description for the highlighted drawing might be "WA_BAG_INTAKE".
Our idea: It would be extremely helpful if the PLANTATTACH function could be improved to display the "Description" field when selecting references.
Benefits:
- Simplifies the selection of the correct references for our users.
- Reduces the error rate when handling multiple files.
- Leverages existing data (descriptions), so the programming effort should be minimal.
