Calculated Properties are a great addition to the Projects, but we could use the same type of functionality in the Spec Editor as well.
For instance, the ability to create a calculated property named ActuatorAbbr where we could filter out the word "Hand" from the ActuatorType and just have the word Lever, or Wheel assigned to ActuatorAbbr. Then use the ActuatorAbbr property in the Family and Size Descriptions instead of the ActuatorType property. It would enable a quick and easy method for streamlining the standard descriptions in the spec without having to customize the actual catalogs.
