I'm pretty new to the process piping industry, so feel free to ask questions and / or laugh at my use of terminology, but I have been working with a client to determine how to calculate the weight of only the components that appear on a given isometric sheet, not the entire line weight. This would eliminate the need to have to manually calculate the combined weight of the components for a given spool. For example, if a given pipe line ends up having to be split into 3 different sheets, I would like the ability to display only the combined weights of the components on Sheet 1, 2, 3 instead of the entire weight of the line.
If this functionality exists and I have missed something, please let me know and I will be happy to utilize the techniques you bring up. Also, if I am unclear, please let me know and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks in advance for any tips and your consideration fo this idea.
