Using 3D model for cable tray routing and 3D cable routing

Hello everyone,

I am looking in vain for a way to plan the cable routes for our 3D models. We already have a software for 3D cable route planning “Caneco One” which allows the import of DWG files. However, Caneco does not recognize any Plant 3D properties from the file such as instrument TAG.
Is there a way to perform 3D cable route planning within the AutoCAD suite? Or are there programs with which good experiences have been made for automated cable route planning based on a Plant3D model?

There are apps on the P3D App Store, or if you have the AEC Collections you have cadMEP, Fabrication cadMEP or Revit for cable tray. I suggest looking at Fabrication cadMEP as it has all the catalogs/libraries already for cable tray/ladder/hvac etc.

There is ELECTROWorx which allows you to route Cable Tray and Conduit using Plant 3D specifications.
