Update component after making spec changes

Hi Guys,

I have done a model for a client, and they have now asked me to change the sizes of a couple of valves,

So I have updated the spec in spec editor and updated and reloaded it back in, but how do I update components which have already been placed?

Yes, unfortunately, this is not possible in one step. But sometimes it does not work completely with the spec update.

Tom im not quite sure, what I have learnt from that, I appreciate you can change the size of a valve in the model, but what if you change its properties within the spec editor?

As i read it I thought you asked that they changed the size of the valve lets say from 3" to 4"?

Or are they asking you to change the actual psychical dimension of the valves? If that is the case make a copy of the valve in the catalog change the dimension of the copy valve to the new dimensions.  Add this copy valve to your spec. Back into your model select the valve and then use the Substitute Part and select your newly added valve.
