Dear forum members and Autodesk,

I made an custom elbow for use in my project.

Now I have 2 line numbers i.e. 202 and 203

see screenshot ( the selected part is pipe 202 and non selected is 203)

203-203.png
When generating an iso of pipe 203 I got no errors

When generating an iso of pipe 202 the system gives an error The object reference is not set to an instance of an object. and does not produces an iso

Does anyone know what is causing this?

I used the same elbow from same spec yet its not producing an iso

best regards,

Dear memebers,

I get the same with pipe 2 pipe.

The main pipe ( the blue one ) generates an iso and even refers to the white small pipe ( under the blue 1)
When generating an iso from the small pipe I got the same error as with the elbows

Does anyone know what is going on?
Are my settings wrong?

What Version of Plant?

What type, symbol/skey?

Is it block based or parametric?

Catalog or custom part?

What type of connection between parts? Tap?

Plant 3d 2016 to begin with lol

the first pic,
 the pipe = TYPE=PIPE

the bend = TYPE=BEND,SKEY=BEBW

The clamp = TYPE=CLAMP,SKEY=CLVT

the bend is block based and the clamp is parametric

the clamp is catalog part and also the pipe but the bend is custom made

For the first picture it is PL pipe end and GRV end for the bend ( no errors when connecting them )

the second pic is the pipe and bend standard catalog ( parametric )
but the flanges and the valve is block based

the valve =TYPE=VALVE,SKEY=VBFL

the flanges = TYPE=FLANGE,SKEY=FLSO

the problem with the second pic is the connection between the run pipe and the branch.

When deleting the branch connection then the iso will generate without a problem

Though I need references to the run pipe and the connection needs to be remained

Best regards,

Hi @ryan.bales

Do you want to have the DWG?

So you can see in your own environment?

Best regards

Hi @ryan.bales

I think the issue is fixed

Seems to be a spec update that was needed

After filling in the pressure class of all the components all of a sudden the iso's generated without any issue

Never knew that the pressure class could become a problem when generating an iso 🙂

Kind regards

I didn't either! But if it wasn't matching up properly and it was required it would make sense.
