Hello сolleagues!

Can the PlantSupportsOnSupports command group Beam Bolted Trapeze Hanger and Clamps?

Thanks in advance!

Hello @JUANCARLOSBLASCO4129

Thank you for your reply.

Now I don't need to group supports in ISO. I can't group them even in 3D. So I'm interested in whether there is a way to do it. I'm talking about Beam Bolted Trapeze Hanger and Clamps (or analogs).

Are you saying you would like to have a single support callout that has the 2 supports you are showing?  If so, that would be custom.  We can do custom supports.  Check out our Steel Supports Bundle for Plant 3D (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hG7T_DQkHU4&t=13s) at www.asti.com/SteelSupports for more info.

Hello @Anonymous,

thank you for your reply.

Not quite so. I would like to have two supports in 3D, two callouts in ortho, two supports in BOM, but if I move a pipe in 3D two supports would follow the pipe. Now when I move a pipe, only clamp follow it and I'm forced to move the hanger manually. It takes extra time.

I see what you mean now.  However, I am not experiencing the same issue.  I place 2 supports on the pipe, and then do a supports on supports command and it works fine when I move the pipe. Out of curiosity, does this happen on any dwg you have or have you only experienced it in one drawing?  Have you tested it in another project?

Hello Scott,

Yes, I have tested it in other projects, in P3D 2015 and P3D 2017. The same result. By the way, trapeze support doesn't connect even with pipe: when I move the pipe, trapeze stay in the same place. Support On Support function works good with other types of support, e.g. Dummy and Shoe. But I need to group Trapeze and Clamps.
