Hi 2 all!

Is it necessary to constantly make a relaod, after modifying a python script in /CustomScripts?

Following happens:

  • write code in *.py
  • Start P3D
  • open .dwg
  • PLANTREGISTERCUSTOMSCRIPTS - fine
  • (PnP3dACPAdapter is already loaded)
  • run testascript -fine, geometry is generated
  • modify *.py
  • again PLANTREGISTERCUSTOMSCRIPTS - fine
  • run testascript -fine, geometry is generated but the previous version
  • even when deleted and purged the blocks, and even when in new version additional objects
  • restart P3D
  • new version works...........

So, in this case developing will get a loooong procedure 😉

Unfortunately, there is no shortcut here. Plant 3D must be completely restarted to load the new .pyc files generated with PLANTREGISTERCUSTOMSCRIPTS.
