Problem with custom equipment and nozzle

Hi All,

i have just begin to work with Plant 3d 2017 and I have a question. I have convert a 3d model to an equipment (rectangular tank) and then I have add a nozzle that allow the connection with the pipe but I don't see the physical representation of the nozzle of the tank. In the attached picture you can see my tank with the point and the drop and a default tank with the flange. It is possible to add the physical representation of the nozzle also to the custom tank? And second it is possible to have a flange that change automatically the dimension if i change the nozzle setting (Dn 100, DN 200..) ?

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

Q: It is possible to add the physical representation of the nozzle also to the custom tank?

A: For custom tanks and nozzles, all parts must also be constructed, no components are automatically added after the conversion.

Q: And second it is possible to have a flange that change automatically the dimension if i change the nozzle setting (Dn 100, DN 200..) ?

A: This is so in the case of nozzles which are generated parametrically. All the nozzles that are set with "at Nozzle" on a parameterized tank will change the dimensions as soon as they have been changed from DN 100 to DN 200 etc.

Sorry @h_eger can you explain me how to create a parameterized tank with parametrically nozzle? Is it possible, for example, to create a parameterized rectangular tank?

Thanks again

I try to explain in a better way. This is my custom tank. I have created a template and i can load it from create equipment but i can't modify the dimension and choose prefixed nozzle location. Is it possible to parameterize the tank or i have to make a new template for every tank dimension?

Thanks

Dave Wolfe has uploaded this document at the AU2012 "PD1746"
To do this, create a parametric epuipment.
I will test if it works

Hi @Anonymous

Google Search "AU 2012 PD1746"
If it does not close the document PD1746

And the link to the complete documentation!

I hope I could help
