Point Cloud to Pipes

Hi everyone,

I am currently working with CLOUDWORXS extension for trial period, one thing I noticed that it makes accurate pipes from the point cloud but in plant3d the pipes are shown as 3D Solid, as you can see in the attached screenshot. Is there any way to convert them to the actual pipes with specs?

If Cloudworkx cannot do that, does Faro As-built do that kind of thing?

Yes, with Faro As-Build and AutoCAD Plant 3D you can model pipelines from the point cloud

You can just use the Autocad functions to determine centerlines on your pointcloud and then use line to pipe.

With a nicely structured point cloud the cleanup en prep can actually go pretty fast.
