Point cloud, to mesh, to solid, to plant3d

Hi,

I'm currently trying to figure out if there is a way to get the object in point to be displayed in ortho views from plant3d.

At the moment, I took my point cloud in Recap pro and used the function "scan to mesh". I now have a mesh.
I tried converting the .obj in 3dsmax and convert it in a .dwg, but i either lose a lot of surfaces or the mesh doesnt display at all in the .dwg.

Do you know a way to get my point to be displayed in "solid" in plant3d to be used in orthoviews?

Leica CloudWorx for AutoCAD has the ability to find pipe in a point cloud and generate a solid to be used in Plant 3D.

If you don't want to use another software, I just find determining reference points/centerlines of the pointcloud with basic AutoCAD point cloud functionality and then adding some piping (with status 'existing') based on those references, often the fastest way.

I do advise to structure your pointcloud with Recap before loading it into AutoCAD.
