Pipelines running over each other in Isometric

Hi All,

When we try to generate isometric for some skewed lines, the isometric comes with pipelines running over each other. please refer attached image.

I know below options could help,

  • Changing the North Arrow direction
  • Splitting the line.

But we have to generate isometric in single sheet, without changing the North direction. Can anyone please help with this.

We are using Plant 3D 2019.2

Thanks

Vasu

Dear @Vasu27

a small change in your IsoConfig.xml should bring the solution:
Change the two values in the Setion Geometry:
IntersectionType = "None"
and
PipeGapLength = "20"

as shown below.

<!-- Geometry configuration -->
  <!-- 'IntersectionType': Can have values of 'None', 'Selective', or 'All'. -->
  <!-- 'MaxDistortionRatio': Defines the maximum amount a pipe can be distorted to solve an intersection when IntersectionType is 'Selective'. -->
  <!-- 'MakeupLength': Defines the field fit weld makeup length. -->
  <Geometry IntersectionType="None" MaxDistortionRatio="2" PipeGapLength="20" MakeupLength="50" GapLeaderLine="true" GapDimensionExtensionLine="true" />
  <!-- Units format configuration -->
  <!-- The DimensionsStyle, CoordinatesStyle, and PipeLengthStyle settings reference. -->
  <!-- an AutoCAD dimension style in the style library drawing. -->
  <!-- A dimension style is used for formatting different type of measurements. -->
  <!-- The unit format, precision, etc. are defined in the "Primary Units" settings of -->
  <!-- a dimension style, and can be edited with AutoCAD's "Modify Dimension Style" dialog. -->

@h_eger , Thanks for the reply. but sorry, the intersection is still occurring. The Gap is updated, though. Can you please advise, if i missed anything here?

Thanks

Vasu

Dear @Vasu27 ,

Plant 3D Isometric cannot quite fulfill this task.
Show everything on one sheet but no overlaps. The only thing that helps is that you plan the pipelines so that your requirements are met.
