PID VALVE LABEL QUESTION/S

Greetings All,

I'm very new to Plant 3D, maybe 30 minuets into it here.

I do have training scheduled with Autodesk for the end of the month, but I'm trying to at least get my feet wet before attending.

I'm wondering how/if I can hide these valve labels.

I would love to keep the 1/2", but loose the tag.

-if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

@ferrisb Welcome to the Plant 3D/P&ID world!

What you could do is to create a new Annotation tag in the Project Setup. P&ID valves use the Valve Label annotation tag and this shows the size and valve tag. You could Add Annotation which will create a new Annotation as a copy of the Valve Label.

Select Ok at the Symbol Setting Window or you can rename the name of the Symbol Name

You should see the new Annotation that was added, Copy of Valve Label. Now you will want to select Edit Block.

Delete the #(TargetObject.Tag) and then select Close Block Editor and save changes.

Make sure to switch the AnnotationStyleName to the Copy of Valve Label.

Select Apply to close out of the Project Setup and when you insert a valve in your drawing it will only show the size.

Hope that helps and good luck with you training!
