PID Object Tagging/ automatic valve numbering

I have project of a big plant. The plant is divided in serveral systems. These Systems include valves of different types.
See example in picture.

The third part of the Tag is a running number which can be generated by Plant 3D. My problem is:

If I have a MOV 240 001 and add a valve POV in the System 240, AutoCAD generates the Tag POV 240 001 because the Type is different. But what I need is a procedure that AutoCAD generates the Tag POV 240 002. So just a running number for all Valves in the System 240.

Dear @anwestphalWK2U4 ,

The counting number is created automatically as soon as you have set it up in the TAG and the configuration.
Have you configured an automatic count number?

Thanks for your quick reply. This brings me only the half solution, because AutoCAD is only numbering all Valves in the Project and is not distinguishing between the systems. I have more than one System in every Drawing. So if i place MOV 240 001 and then later when i place the first valve of System 250 it just continues with the numbering of System 240. The only thing that comes to my mind is, that i create a running number for all systems and create a copy of the valve for every System number with a different Tag. But this wouldnt be a nice solution.

I can not say exactly but you can configure multiple counters only I know your configuration too little.

Hey, have you solved your issue?

I am looking into this exact same problem and have reached the exact same challenge.

I am looking for to have the default behaviour that Nozzles have. They get assigned the first available number in a format looking like: TK99-N01, TK99-N02, etc.

Anyone had some luck?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I solved this problem in a way that every different type of valve has it's own tag format. ball valve has it's own, butterfly valve also.... In autonumbering window set LastBallNumber (or whatever your tag format is named)
