Ortho Views and SSM

I am a bit confused here.

So basically how it looks, If I create ortho views in plant 3d, then import those ortho drawings into the SSM,

the views CANNOT be linked to the sheet set, cutting out alot of the fuctionality of the SSM?

So view lables and call outs all have to be manually filled out, updated etc.

If so, what was the reasoning behind this.  give 2 useful tools, but you can't use them together?

I love sheet sets, but I am new to plant 3d and ortho views, but they look good and I want to be able to use them with sheet sets.

Hi John,

If you go into your Ortho drawing and type in VIEW, then create a new view/shot, does it not dispaly in sheet set manager?

The VIew tab isn't shown in the 3D Piping workspace of Plant 3D but the view manager command is still available.

Thank you,

I can create an Ortho view, save the file.  add the location of the file to the SSM, then just place the model onto the sheet as a view.  that works well.

I just do not know why you cannot just add the views to the SSM.  I do 3 or 4 ortho views of a section of the model.  save that file and just link those views to the SSM.  Instead of draging the model into the ssm or making views of views.  Just seems counter productive.

John.
