running into a bit of confusion with the gland type connections, specifically 'MJP' type connections, is this a specific connection for a certain medium i.e. Mechanical Joint Plastic (MJP) or is it something else?
reason for asking is I'm building a PVC-U Valve catalogue and I'm trying to accurately categorize the end connections for Socket Unions and Double Union Sockets, I know that they are glued ends meaning they would technically be PSW connections but my management is asking for a clearer identifier that feeds out to a Valve Schedule which is produced from the plant model itself.
any assistance and clarification would be greatly appreciated is it's confusing every engineer that I'm working with.
