Macro - Update tag to include file name

Hi, all.

I am new to Plant - a new project will involve update tagging on files. I know this can be done with GCedit, but this gets rid of the required layer. Is there perhaps a command to update just the tag? Moreover, is there a way to code things in such a way as to automatically include the filename as the tag?

Thanks

Absolutely. What you would need to do is edit the ortho annotation tag in the project settings. This must be done when no one else is in the project, or Plant will not like you. You will have to edit the block (or create a new one) that's associated with the tag in question.

Step two is getting the drawing information in the attribute once you're in the block editor.

Once you're in the editor, then you simply choose the attribute you want inserted and it should work in your tags.

If you're lucky, it will just update when you hit the "update annotation" button. At worst, you may have to delete and re-ortho annotate.

I hope this is useful.

Cheers!
