Lap Joint, flange shift on gasket change.

I'm having an issue with lap joints which I'm sure has been tackled previously by someone.

Probably best described using images.

Image 1 - 225 HDPE flange installed on a piece of equipment as expected. Gasket noted is 0.2mm wide listed as sealant.

Image 2 - Clearly a change of gasket selection.

Image 3 - On selection the flange moves location. Only way to fix flange location is delete & add new flange or drag flange grip which returns a result of default gasket selection which in this case is noted as sealant.

Note: The Iso still works and the noted bolt length remains as expected.

Does anyone had any experience with this issue and how to prevent it?

Thanks in advance, Andrew.

Autodesk have picked this up and are taking a look at this thru their support system.

However I'm also wondering if anyone else could test this and see if they get a same result? That would indicate at least if its a config issue at my end.

My work around ATM is use the gasket std method with several 'same' flanges.

Thanks 🙂

Thought I'd just weigh in that I get the exact same issue.

My workaround is a separate spec for the other connection, where the default is different. But it's obviously a very clunky way to deal with it.
