Isometric Pipe Annotation - Along Pipe - Offset Distance

Hello all,

Does anyone know how to adjust the offset for pipe/piping BOM label?  Currently if I select no leader, it places annotation for pipes along the dimension line and not the pipe.

You can see what I am getting now (green is pipe).....

What really needs to happen is this....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Erin

Hey @JameseeT3KVM.,

This is strange, i'll need to dig in further but it's either a setting in the xml that needs modified or its a defect.

I was wondering that myself.  Here I did the same setting, no leader, on the ANSI-B out of the box. Same result.

Yeah something is wrong with it. I logged a defect with the development team, i'm not sure of a workaround right now, the only think i can think of is maybe setting the leader style to a non plot layer in the ISO dwt. That way they are positioned right but not plot.

Hi Erin,

Thanks for your feedback.

I'm afraid we don't have the offset setting to move BOM ID closer to pipe.

We would suggest you turn on leader line for BOM ID in project setup. Then you could see it's very close to the pipe.

If you don't want to show leader line for BOM ID, then you might need to increase dimension offset distance in Project Setup > Isometrics > Dimensions > Offsets. This can put the ID in the area between the pipe and dimension line.

Thanks Ryan,

I will go back to using the leader lines for now.

Thanks for logging the issue! Is there a reference number or something I can use to follow the issue?

Thanks!
