ISO Slope Issue

Hi, Plant 3D Support

I have an issue when generating ISO drawing of Stub-in Pipe

If direction of a pipe (Image A), which stub-in pipe is connected to, is not orthogonal, ISO drawing looks like image B

Image A.

undefined

Image B

undefined

However, it looks like stub-in pipe is horizontally rotated by 30 Degree from the connected pipe. Is it possible to put angular dimension from connected pipe to stub-in pipe only? (In this case, vertical angle only, like green curcle in Image B)

The Iso looks technically correct and accurate as far as I can tell.  I would rank accuracy over aesthetics when it comes to Iso and spool drawings.

But if you're trying to adjust the appearance, some things you could try include:

  • Try a different Iso style
  • Try different Offset Piping settings in the project settings / Isometric DWG Settings
  • Try the Offset rotation feature in Advanced Iso Creation Options and make a slight rotation to alter appearance.
  • Adjust drawing congestion splitting in Advanced Iso Creation Options

Isometric generation usually continues to advance and improve with each Plant 3D release. So if you're using an older release, then the 2016 -- or soon ... the 2017 version -- may produce different results as well.
