HP Designjet 111 Problems

Hello,

We recently upgraded from Plant 3d 2012 to 2018 and are now having problems with our 24" printer(HP Designjet 111). Our regular 8.5x11 printer works fine and I can still print on the Designjet using our old 2012 Plant 3d. I have followed the steps on this page:

 https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/HP-pri...

Unfortunately, I have to print to PDF and then use Adobe to plot to the Designjet which is getting to be too time consuming.

As a side note, Inventor 2018 also plots to the designjet just fine, Plant 3d 2018 seems to be the only problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions to fix the issue? If not, can you recommend a large format printer/plotter that is known to work with Plant 3d?

Attached is a screenshot of the error message.

Win10 too? All AutoCAD2017-2018 series no longer function with older plotters from HP.
You found the workaround.

Drift away from HP if you want to purchase or lease a replacement: explore offerings from Canon and Epson instead.

That's what I was afraid of, just wanted a little confirmation before I asked for a new printer. I agree with moving away from HP; I was looking at some of their PMC files and they were from 2004! I'm looking into Canon now.

Thanks for the reply
