How to modify default bolt length in Bolt Length sets

I have been successfully placing bolt sets (in flanges) in AutoCAD Plant for the past year. I have just found out that all of the calculated lengths of bolts on our BOMs are .25" shorter than manufacturing requires (they apparently require a longer bolt length than the default standard produces).

How can I safely (and hopefully simply) increase the standard supplied bolt lengths by .25" in this project (and for future projects with this manufacturer) without messing up defaults for other future projects. (I would like these updated bolt lengths showing correct on Isos as they are first generated)

Thank-you

This problem is known. For this reason, Auxalia has incorporated a self-developed variant of the bolt length calculation into the "Plant Express Tools", which achieves the correct values based on the specifications.

Go into the spec editor and open up the catalog editor.  Find the bolt set you want to use, (pressure rating etc.), select it and hit the "duplicate component" button, rename this bolt set to something you can easily identify, like " BOLT SET, RF, 150 LB, STUD BOLT, COMPANY XYZ (for the manuf. that requires extra length bolts).  Then click on the "sizes" tab and you will have to go through and change the bolt lengths for each NPS bolt set you need.  When done, click "save to catalog".  Repeat as needed for different pressure classes/bolt set types.  When done you can now add these bolt sets to your specs.

Thank-you! This worked! Took a bit of time, but a nice way to separate Customer bolt length requirements from the standard lengths.

Thank-you once again for your assistance. I wound up following Dan's advice on this one, but your input is always appreciated. "Kudos"
