How to Migrate Microsoft SQL Database from One Version to Another for AutoCAD Plant 3D Projects

Hello,

Currently I got plenty of Plant 3D projects databases stored and maintained through Microsoft SQL.

But the current SQL version is out dated and it is required to upgrade to newer version of SQL server and migrate the existing data.

Can anyone describe how can I approach this situation?

Thank you.

I have not had to upgrade an active project and it may be best to backup the old projects and start the new projects on the new server. If that's not an option, I would imagine using standard database migration procedures would work. Check out microsofts site for examples like this one:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/sql-server/migrate/guides/sql-server-to-sql-server-upgrade-gui...

If my reply was helpful, please give a "Thumbs Up" or "Accept as Solution"
