How to fix Error in Loose flange and Stub End.

Dear All,

In an existing Plant 3d Model the model is showing stub Flange and loose flange on top of another one. Is there is any way to fix it .

Thanks & Regards,

The backing ring should be on the other side of the stub end. Which item did you place first?

@rafimh2022 ,

have you already attended training on how to work with Spec Editor?

Have you also entered the flange offset in your stub end?

@rafimh2022 ,

who created the Pipe Spec and the associated catalogs?
Without a catalog, the pipe spec cannot be adapted.

Hi Sir h_eger,

The person who created the Catalogue is no more available

and the spec and 3d model is still active and catalogue is not available

so what will be the solution to fix it.

@rafimh2022

If you can use Spec editor you can double click on the flange(collar) and go to the end of the parameters and look for "OF" if there is one and set it to -#. The thickness of the stub end. See if that works.

Hi km4504,

I try to change but not updating OF. I can edit it to -# but after saving it is going back to-1.0

Thanks & Regards,

Rafi

Put a value in for the thickness of the flange. example -1, -1.25 etc...

Hi Sir  km4504,

Catalogue is not showing. Whenever am searching for Catalogue, Spec editor is asking me to browse the location by saying that PE - HDPE Material is not available in Autodesk library.

Any way to edit the dimensions without Catalogue.

Regards,

Rafi

Just pick another catalog like the ASME Pipe and Fittings and continue in the spec. Double click the collar/stub end in the spec editor (not in the catalog editor) and edit the Flange Offset from there if necessary. If you don't know the value, scroll to the end of the properties and lookup the geometric properties and copy those:
