How to add pipe tags to my model?

Hello,

I don't use AutoCAD Plant 3D on a daily basis, so I am no expert. However, I created my model and I had pipe tags assigned to each pipe run, but as I was loading my QuickISO, the system crashed. I opened the drawing back up and the pipe tags were gone. Of course, I tried to add them back and now it won't allow me.

Can someone help me with this matter?

You may need to audit the project in order to get with of the old tags hanging around in the database.

Once everyone has exited the project, in the project manager > right click on the project name > select audit project.

Thank you for the reply, however, after running the audit, it states that there are no errors found.

Taking a look at your model, I see that you have sections tagged with a number.

Are you trying to individually tag certain items? select the item > right click > assign tag  (you will need to setup a tagging sequence if you need something custom)

Are you trying to setup a line number sequence?

If you're trying to just separate your ISO's then you could just use stop signs to break it up, or even use spools to do it also.

Also, you have quite a few disconnects throughout the pipe run.Capture.PNG

Thank you again for your help, but I realized I sent you the preliminary design. Attached is the final design, please take a look at the model and let me know what your thoughts are. I do have two open-ended pipes, but I don't need to show the rest of the pipe runs for those two since they are not important in the design.

As I mentioned in my initial post, I had pipe tags assigned, but they are gone now after the system crashed when I was loading the isometrics. In addition, the pipes are broken into segments now, which is why I believe it won't allow me to assign a pipe tag.

Ok, looking at this model it seems that certain parts have become corrupt.

Open the model and run the command PLANTAUDIT. This will eliminate everything that does not correspond to anything in the database.

Make note, that this command can be undone if you need to go backwards and possibly redraw your routing before eliminating the corrupt components.

3DPOLY works well to quickly redraw a routing, and then using line to pipe.

If you can revert back to an older version and copy over a previous versions piping, that may help also.

Hope that this helps.

Basically, 90% of the model is corrupt. After I ran the audit, it eliminated most of the model. Honestly, I'd rather start from scratch, it is not a complicated model. Thank you for your help.
