I set the order of columns in "Plant 3D Project Data" in Data Manager
Where is this setting saved because I want to have such a setting on every project and wants to import such settings to other users
Are these settings saved in xml ???
Solved! Go to Solution.
"en-US.xml" in folder "StringTables" in your projectfolder.
This is not the point
I want to move the columns so that there are columns that are important to me at the beginning
and they want to import columns to other projects and give them to other users
you can move the columns in Data Manager in one project by dragging the headers left/right. The new position will be stored in file "en-US.xml" in folder "StringTables" in your projectfolder. By copying that file in another project you will copy the column position.
it does not work like that.
Setting columns in the Data Manager does not change the date when saving these settings. in the file
dwg was specially set up in Project Setup in another project, I have no such settings, how is this column to be displayed.
Please check what you wrote to me and tell me if it works. I am sending you my xml file and see if you will have such settings as in picture No. 2
Z,
I own you an apology, I gave my answer based on a document that I received from someone else and didn't check it thooroughly. On my system the XML did change its date, but it must have been by another action because I cannot reproduce it.
I did howerver some additional research and foud that the column layout for Data Manger is stored in following location :
C:\Users\<YOUR NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D 2020\R23.1\enu\Support\PnPProjects
in a file with the same name as your project folder, followed by ".Piping.dms" or ".PnId.dms". So it's indeed a user & project setting (that set me on track to look in that folder). I cannot test the transfer to another system today.
