Custom Tool Palette Delimiter

Hello,

I am trying to modify an existing Tool Palette for use with piping specs in Plant 3D Drawings. Currently, the Description (which I assume pulls from the spec in use) is shown below underneath the Name, which consists of the description, end type, class, and spec all combined and separated by commas.

I would like to know if there is a way to adjust how the software generates this name, so that instead of mentioning the end connection and class twice, I can remove the items from the name that are already specified in the description and potentially add the part size range to the name similar to how it is displayed in the spec sheet.

I have been trying at this for a while and haven't gotten anywhere, any help is appreciated.

Hello @jmaltese_2EUHEQLZRZRX

To my knowledge NO but you can use the specification viewer which will allow you to see the range of diameters available on each component.

A ma connaissance NON mais vous pouvez utilisez le visualiseur de spécification qui vous permettra de voir la plage des diamètres disponibles sur chaque composant.

@h_eger ,

Thank you for the help! I am aware of the pipe spec option for routing and my question was more regarding the customization and use of the tool palette to boost my workflow and allow me to work from there without errantly placing pieces outside of their size range (as I often end up doing currently). If there is any documentation on changing how the part names get populated, as mentioned in my original post, I would be very thankful to see it solved.
