Convert Mesh Objects to Smooth 3D Solids (or similar)

Hi,

I have a pump that was converted from an STP file from a vendor using Inventor and I'm now wanting to convert it to equipment in one of my Plant 3D models. This part is simple enough and working fine. However, I'm finding that when generating orthographic drawings, all of the mesh surfaces lines are showing and looks messy. I would like to explode it down and use something like the THICKEN command to smooth the surfaces for a better appearance on orthos but the various approaches I've tried have been unsuccessful. Commands like MESHSMOOTH that are part of the processes I've found are resulting in 'Not a valid object type' errors.

Could someone offer insight on how I can convert what I've got to more basic, smooth shapes? I've copied an instance of the pump block reference into the attached file.

Thanks!

Dear @_Jeff_Roy_ ,

unfortunately, this 3D mesh model is probably from the rubbish dump. After a check I was shown 10118 errors in the mesh model and a conversion to a 3D solid model is therefore not possible.

That's not too surprising since it's derived from a Navisworks .nwd file. Thanks for looking at it.
