Clipping NWD coordination model in P3D

Hello,

How to clip an attached xref coordination model *.NWD file in Plant3D (2019 or 2020)?

I can use SECTION command to create clipping plans or volumes for the attached Point Cloud *.RCP files but this is not working on NWD files!

Any can do clipping on NWD files attached to P3D model or this feature is not in P3D yet?

Hi,

I'm also interested for this but in meanwhile maybe you can try workaround from link video below.

Can you share the steps required or the video again? The link is broken. Thanks!

Hi,

I think video/file was lost.. But if I remember its not real "fancy schmancy" solution.

So what I do :

-I create one dwg file in project tree

-called this dwg file "navisworks"

-in this dwg file I was attached navis file

-then attach this dwg file in other dwg files

-clip this xref as regular xref

But its almost 3 years have passed since this solution, maybe there is a better solution in a newer version of the software...
