Cannot Show Plant 3D Compass

Hello all - 

My team is designing pneumatic conveying system piping. The spec has seven different elbows in angles between 0 and 90, and the compass has been invaluable to me in making sure I pick the correct angle fitting each time. A coworker of mine cannot get the Compass to display on his machine whatsoever, and I've exhausted every option I can think of.

I've used both the ribbon and the PLANTCOMPASS command to toggle through all of the different compass setting options, played with the values in the Elevation and Routing pane, reinstalled, restarted the program and the machine, etc. Is there some other setting governing the visibility of the compass that I'm not aware of?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated here.

I know this is a generic answer but it is worth a try, have you tried installing the latest updates for Plant 3D?

We are running the latest version of Plant 3D 2020 as far as I am aware. 

As with all AutoCAD products, "uninstall and do a clean install" is the most frequent remedy, and it's... exasperating.
