After copying an AutoCAD Plant 3D project via Autodesk Bridge or Desktop Connector, it does not appear in the Collaboration Projects window in Plant 3D.

When uploading a project using Plant 3D Collaboration, the project is easily found in the Collaboration Projects window. However, when copying the same folder via Desktop Connector into another ACC project, the Plant3D project does not appear in the Collaboration Projects window in PLant3D.

A similar issue occurs when sharing/bridging a Plant 3D project between two ACC projects—the project does not show up in the Collaboration Projects window in PLant3D, even though the Project.xml file and folder structure remain identical in both ACC projects.

Hi,

You cannot simply copy Plant 3D project files between ACC projects to create a collaboration project.  You will get a copy of the files but no Plant databases or synchronisation.

You can only manage a Plant 3D collaboration project through the P3D user interface.

To copy a P3D project to another ACC project, create a local backup of the P3D project and share that to the new ACC project.

Regards,

Andy
