Bolting - If we remove placeholder spec we get a E1.Facing=’LFF’ error.

I can't see the wood for the trees - I keep seeing the same stuff...

We created a new metric spec;

- Flanges - Facing = FF, Pressure = 16 / PN16

- Gaskets - duplicated from JIS and dims & notation changed

- Bolts - duplicated from JIS - lengths changed to suit Standard; Bolt Mapping table added as per JIS

(Even using the original JIS stuff we get this same condition)

The pipe route with a flange joint added gives a correct flange and gasket but with a placeholder bolt - which is not what we want.

If we remove the placeholder spec from the project; then we insert the flange, we get the error as shown in the image;-

PLACEHOLDER-SPEC-REMOVED-1.jpg

We removed the Facing requirement for Autoflange (?? we think ??)

The attached pdf is a step by step of what we have done.

Can anyone spot the error?

Thanks

Appreciate your time in looking at this.

The problem was found in the SQL database data of the bolt table.

The IsLug value had been written as 'null' in the database when the Catalogue tool showed that is was set to "False" - which one assumes would be a binary choice of "0" or "1" for False or True - the only two choices presented.

Changing the nulls to 0 solved the problem.

I'm amazed that Autodesk does not know the difference between null and zero.  Hmmmm...

I get the same issue. Would you mind sending a snapshot where about to find and correct this error?
