An xref is placed at an unsupported location

I am Piping at 0,0,0 and want to be able to have the iso move the piping to the correct location which works well by using the advanced mode and inputting in the correct coordinates.

But I have a Master model of the plant that I want to xref this into. In trying to place the xref in the correct location I keep getting the error "unsupported xref"... is there not a fix for this yet? Modeling at the actual coordinates adds grief and the possibility for error. Any help??

All xrefs in plant 3d must be inserted at 0,0,0.  If they're not then it'll goof up orthographics and possibly other drawings.  That's how it's been since Autodesk bought it.
