A unique tag… that doesn’t exist

We’re trying to change the tagnumber of a manual valve from 264-A-277509. to 264-A-277509.

The dot at the end was added because we got this error message the first time, we tried to name the valve too:

«Another asset in the project has the same tag which has not been saved. Cannot merge with that tag. Please enter a unique tag.» (first picture)

If we search the entire database using Data Manager, we find our 277509. (the dotted asset) but no 277509. (second picture).

We have tried to run PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe, the Shrink command fra SQL Management Console and Audit Project, without being able to weed out the problem. Any suggestions?

The unique tag that doesn't exist, actually exists in the table dbo.PnPTagRegistry (image attached), but dare I delete this record just like that, or will this corrupt the entire project?

Solved, thanks to  damijan.a.

Ran this query on dbo.PnPTagRegistry, then a Project Audit and things were back on track.

DELETE

  FROM [_BRGP3D__PnId].[dbo].[PnPTagRegistry]

  WHERE [PnPID] = ('207810');
