Dear @dmgraves ,

can you please describe the cut and paste process in more detail in Spec Editor 2023 as it works fine for me.

Right click on item.  Select copy. Right click to use paste, but it is greyed and faded and does not function.  Ctrl+c & Ctrl+V same situation.  Does not paste.  Could you detail out how yours works for you?

Works with Spec Editor -> Catalog Editor
with right mouse click on the object copy and again right mouse click paste and the selected object is created with the entry *%copy

Are you sure that this worked yesterday?
I do not believe it because this has not worked since 2009-2023. 😉

No. It was working UNTIL yesterday.  Was working all the way up to day before yesterday and was not working yesterday.  Yeah I'm sure.

It was 2020.  Started using 2023 spec yesterday.

Still works in 2020 as seen here.  Believe it or not.

In the Spec Editor 2020 this was possible (error in the programming) with version 2021 this mode of operation is blocked so writes it in any case the development department.

I keep an old version installed to one PC just to copy/paste items in specs. Disappointing that it doesn't work in the newest version(s). It has never worked for me in 2023.

Yeah.  I have gone back to using my 2020 spec editor this morning and will continue to use it until Autodesk gets more customer and user friendly.
