Web autocad with Safari 15.6.1

Hi everyone.

I just created my account on Web autocad to test it before I subscribe but I cannot open any dwg file (even the samples available on the App). It's just running on mode "initialization..." but nothing happens.

Do you know how I could fix that. Autocad don't provide any support for free app but I don't want to subscribe if I not sure it works.

Hi @maniere_laviolette ,

I tried to open one of my drawings with free account (without subscription) in the autoCAD WEB in Safari 18.0 and it works fine.

Apple dropped support for Safari 15.x in 2022.

AutoCAD WEB online help says the following:

"AutoCAD on the web is supported by the following browsers on Windows or Mac:

  • 64-bit Google Chrome
  • 64-bit Mozilla Firefox
  • 64-bit new Microsoft Edge"

Even if the web AutoCAD worked for you on your Safari, it's not the best way to evaluate whether buying the subscription would be worth it. Because the web app is nothing like the real program. Why not install a trial version of normal AutoCAD?

AutoCADWEB requires a subscription too, perhaps they are opting for this because their hardware/MacOS are old as they are revealing.
