AutoCAD web is a browser-based application. You can get access to web through a stand-alone subscription or if you have access to ACAD desktop it's included as part of your subscription.
We are excited to announce the release of our new feature, Multi-user Markup! This feature allows multiple users to add markup and collaborate on the same drawing simultaneously, making it easier than ever to work together and share feedback.
What is Multi-user Markup?
Streamline collaboration on Autodesk Docs projects with Multi-user markups. Collect and share feedback directly on drawings using intuitive Autodesk Docs markup tools—now available in early access with AutoCAD on the web. Create markup links to provide simultaneous access to DWG file through ACAD Web without duplicating or locking files.

Collect and share feedback directly on drawings using intuitive Autodesk Docs markup tools—now available in early access with AutoCAD on the web. Create markup links to provide simultaneous access to DWG file through ACAD Web without duplicating or locking files.
Workflow:
- Open AutoCAD Web and connect your Docs project to AutoCAD Web. (‘How to’ Link)
- Open a DWG file saved in Docs where you would like your collaborators to add feedback.
- Click on the Share button and create a URL by clicking on ‘Markup’ option. The sender shares the current Model or layout tab from AutoCAD on the web, and
- Collaborators can use that link to go to the ‘Markup mode’ and, create and publish markups in AutoCAD on the web using Autodesk Construction Cloud markup tools. Anyone in the Autodesk Docs project can add markups to the trace. They can't directly modify the drawing.
How to Provide Feedback:
- Use the Multi-user Markup feature in your projects.
- Share your experience and any suggestions for improvement in this forum thread.
- If you encounter any issues, please provide detailed information so we can address them promptly.
Thank you for being a part of the AutoCAD Web community and helping us make AutoCAD even better!
