Unsupported Browser = Vivaldi

I'm using the Vivladi browser, which identifies as a Chrome browser.

Vivaldi4.0.2312.33 (Stable channel) (64-bit)

When navigating to a SharePoint folder with AutoCAD *.dwg files, the click on the file gives an error message that the browser is unsupported.

I've shared this with the Vivaldi Forums. They are wondering if there's a proprietary feature required by the AutoCAD Web App?

Note: IMO/The Vivaldi Browser is superior in comparison to many other Chrome browsers. Any help with this would be appreciated.

I love it when developers of feign surprise about incompatibilities like that LOL
They are just doing the old "its the other guys' fault, not ours, we are perfect".

A good reason to drift away if this is a business critical need for you.

Good luck.

Same problem here.
I can't even open the AutoCAD Web App page without that incompatibility message.

Vivaldi is a Chromium-based browser. It shares all its extensions and a lot of features but restricts Chrome security issues.
Are these security restrictions what prevent AutoCAD Web from running on it? Does Autocad use trackers?

HI @bacarson1 welcome in Web Application Forum 🙂

Vivaldi browser is not listed in the supported browser and we recommend you to use the supported ones. Kindly use one of the following supported browser: 64-bit Google Chrome (version 85 or later), 64-bit Mozilla Firefox (version 78 or later), and 64-bit new Microsoft Edge (Chromium based, version 85 or later) on Windows or Mac.

For the best performance, it is recommended to use the latest version.

In Vivaldi browser, visit User Agent Switcher extension (by Google) page in Chrome Web Store
Install it.
Now sign into Google product site you wish not to receive the error, and click on ‘Chrome UA Spoofer’ icon on the toolbar and click ‘Internet Explorer’ and choose ‘Internet Explorer 10’,
The page refreshes and the notification goes away

J Wick
