As a default setting there is a large cross over the pointer, I've already worked on AutoCAD 2012-2013 & 2014 so I know there is a way to take it off. I'm currently working on AutoCAD 2015 and I can't find a way to take it off. It used to be related to thinkdesign however I can't find it either.
