Missing design feed

I use design feed to grade my student's work.  I noticed the web version has changed and I can no longer find design feed.  However, it is still available on my mobile version.  Has it been moved?

Hi Yasmin, you are correct  - we have turned off the Design Feed palette in AutoCAD 360 Web. Are you primarily using it on mobile, or web as well. How important is that feature to you (in the web app).
Thank you!

I prefer to use the web version as there is less back and forth between the drawing and the design feed.  This feature is VITAL to my use of the program!  Without it I will just go back to pulling up the student's files within our building network.

Recibo via web las anotaciones de mi equipo de revisores en campo; por favor, volvedlo a dejar accesible
I get on my desktop pc, via web, annotations my team of reviewers in the field; please let it back to leave available

¿Qué planes tenéis realmente para esto?, nos obligaría a cambiar el modo de trabajo.
What plans do you have for this ?,

Please oh please turn it back on. I often hold meetings where the design feed is an important reference to the work we are doing on projects.

Si el borrado de comentarios sólo era posible en la aplicación sobre navegador, ¿cómo borrarlos ahora, que desaparece el design feed?
If removal of comments was only possible in the implementation of browser, how delete it now, it disappears design feed?

La capacitación de nuevos revisores se hace muy compleja al no poder hacer comentarios falsos.
Training for new reviewers becomes very complex unable to make fake comments

Por favor, volvedlo a poner donde estaba.
please go back to where it was

Same here.  We are 20 people that changed from WS and the designfeed eas one of the great things here.  By the way, the dropdownmenu on layers are not showing all the layers.  😞

Thanks for the feedback Rudi... we will definitely take your feedback into consideration. Have you been able to find a workaround for the missing Design Feed palette?

Hi.  Thanks for answering so fast.  We may need to find a new tool if we do not get it.  Is there a premium version with more features? We use det web app.

Hi Rudi, At this point, the design feed feature is available only on the mobile app, for both free and pro users (AutoCAD 360 pro version is available on mobile devices only). Best,

Are there plans to restore the design feed to the web version? If not why?????  I understand the purpose of this feature is to promote collaboration. I find this feature to be lost if you remove it from the web app.
I've two main issues with it being web based only.
1) Many of my colleuges have iphone. Many find the interface to small to utilize on their phones. If we all had tablets, this wouldn't be a problem.
2) I ofter use the design feed on the web app to reveiw projects with a larger audience on a PC. I currently don't have the equipment or user rights to install software for screen mirroring applications.
Please. Please restore the design feed to the web app....!!!

Hello, i really miss this feature.

I work as an engineer in a water and sewage company in Sweden.

We are using the 360 app when taking notes and photos out in the field during maintenance and when fixing breakdowns in our system. This has been an fast and easy way of reporting the status or of pipes and other parts. We chose AutoCad WS/360 mainly because of this feature and working offline.

After reporting in the iPad and iPhone apps, i will "drag and drop" the notes and photos into or GIS-database and mark them as solved in the web app.

I have almost 200 posts that i havent loaded into the database yet, now i cant reach them within the web app.

Without this feature, we will have to evaluate other systems and work flows.

I know more people using this feature as well.

Also, the GPS function when sharing a drawing is a great feature we miss.

Regards,

David

Why did you REMOVE it? It was there and was working well.  Now in 2015, people are expecting same functions on mobile and web. Is there a plan to fix this? If so...when? If there is not a plan to get this back, please give me a straight answer. Thanks.

Hi David, I really understand your frustration. After a series of improvements, we definitely plan to return the design feed to the web app.... I've also forwarded your feedback to our web and product team... Regarding the GPS feature- Are you referring to the mobile app? Anyway, please feel free to contact our support team directly at feedback@autocad360.com for any issue you run into... Best,

Hi Tirza,

okay, could you give me any hint of when the feature will be back?

Yes, in earlier WS version, when sharing a drawing to other people , i could tag my position one time and then all collaborators could use the Find location button on their phones and pads. This doesn't seem to work anymore.

Regards

Hi David, I can only promise you that we are working on bringing back the design feed to the web app... Regarding the GPS and the Find Location issue- Are you referring to the web (WS) or mobile apps? Since the WS web is no longer available, only the mobile app supports at this point the GPS feature, allowing you to set your location and track your moves (Find location). Once you share your drawings with your colleagues as collaborators (and not reviewers), they should be able to find there location according to the Geo data of your location as you set as the drawing's owner... Let us know if you encounter issues with the GPS feature on mobile... Thanks,

Hi Tirza,

okay, thanks.

I was referring to the mobile apps. I'm now sharing with my colleagues set as reviewers so they won't be able to move or delete any object in the drawing. I'll change them to collaborators instead! In WS, reviewers could use their GPS.

Though, without the Design feed, we're not able to use the 360 anymore.

Regards,

David

This is a large step backwards. The mobile apps allow the comments and images to be added in the field but why? You can't access this important information. I must ask... What was Autodesk thinking when they took it out? Please add it back in, have images added to be viewable and at the very least make all of this, image and design feed to be exported or output to PDF so someone other than mobile clients can see the info. Thanks.

Hi Pam,
Thank you for the feedback and I'll definitely pass it along to our Product Team today.  Your feedback is very important to us and we take it seriously.  The more people request certain functionality, such as Design Feed, the higher it is moved up in our priority list.
