Image cutting according to function?

Hello everyone,

not sure where better to put this question than here, as it might apply to some people working for online purposes.

Here goes:

Is there any way to start or finish a DWG file and before converting it to PDF, JPG or PNG, have very specific alternative image borders set based on the actual drawing?

If I, for example, want to end up with a file of my work made at proportionally 11x18, have it open afterwards in any image reader at those same dimensions, without white frame or paperspace background, what do I have to do?
Hope my question is clear enough, thanks upfront.

to add a bit of information: I'm trying to get a few similar images done.

With some it works to just plot/publish and image at the borders of the image done in Autocad.
Some similar work, however, even when published to a file and using the same original dimensions, show up in the lower middle of a pdf/jpg/npg/plot/publish preview.
Any ideas?

Hi Simon,

Are you looking for info on AutoCAD web or AutoCAD Windows/Mac?
AutoCAD web can only output a PDF with limited controls.

AutoCAD on Windows/Mac will have more control in creating this output.  There would be more help available in these forums:

AutoCAD https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/bd-p/706

AutoCAD LT https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-lt-forum/bd-p/43

Thanks,

Jon

You need to be using a software like Adobe Illustrator for all of that: ask for guidance and tips at their forums https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/bd-p/illustrator
