Hi Demetrios,
There is currently no way to insert an image directly in the web app, but you can insert an image on mobile and then access the drawing with the image on the web app. Would you mind describing your workflow and what you need the image for so we can better understand what you need?
Thank you!

Yan,
I'm new to 360. And just starting to faimiarize myself with the software. We are looking for ways to implement this tool in our office.
I noticed that you can easily do that in the mobile app, but not in the web app.
Here is a typical workflow:
A PM goes to a site and takes several photos...when I say several, I mean 100+...To do that in the mobile app, 1 by 1, would be quite tedious. Unless you can attach more then 1 photo to a pin...can you?
So they may attach them to the file back at the office, while collaborating with others. I suppose they could always just attach them in vanilla acad, but I was curious if there was a way in the web app.

Thanks you very much for the additional information Demetrios - we really appreciate it. Unfortunately, attaching images directly from the web app is not supported at this time but it's definitely on our wishlist for a future release - so this will definitely help us design a better feature. Much appreciated!

Yes, you can. Go to XREF on your left and click Attach XREF. You will be able to select the file you want to insert. You will have to have the images available in *.PNG format. Also, upload them to the AutoCAD web app's homepage beforehand.

Hello @Anonymous

Thanks for your update on this older post - it helps other users to quickly find the solution.

Additional I would like to add the information, that the width of the picture is inserted with a unit of 1. This means when you are working in a big scale and you selected the insertion point of the picture, it might now show up directly visible. You might need to zoom in closely to be able to find and afterwards scale your image up.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hey there,

This is an old post (circa 2014), and you can now attach an image (JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP) to a drawing as an XREF (similar to how it works in desktop AutoCAD, if you are familiar).

With a drawing open, go to the XREF panel on the left of the screen, click "Attach XREF..." and then choose the file you want to insert. If the file is not currently uploaded to an existing folder, you'll need upload it first.

Note that when inserting the image, you choose an insertion point, and the image inserts at a scale of 1 unit. So the image may be quite smale (i.e. 1 inch or 1mm), and you may need to zoom in to find it and re-scale it.

More info here, about XREFs in AutoCAD on the web:
