Hi everyone.

I am using Autodesk Viewer to view DWG files on the web.

I have Hebrew text in the files and it displays them wrong.

Is there any solution to that?

tnx

Did you upload the required SHX fonts that your file uses?

The creator of your file(s) should have the SHX fonts the files needs: ask for them.
Upload them to the same folder as the DWG file ought to work in the webviewer from Autodesk.

I notice you're using the Autodesk Viewer (this is a forum for AutoCAD Web -- web.autocad.com), but this is a common question regarding AutoCAD Web, so I've added a solution for the web app in the reply below.

Hey there.

If you're using AutoCAD Web (web.autocad.com) to view your drawing, you can also upload Support Files (Fonts, Hatch Patterns, Plot Layouts, LISP routines, and Drawing Templates) to your AutoCAD Web account, which will follow you around in each drawing. This way, you won't need to worry about things like SHX file being in the same parent folder. (Also, it allows you to load and automatically run LISP routines at startup)

To manage Support Files, you need to open the manager from one of the access points in Drawing Templates, Plot Styles, or Hatch. A couple ways to do this:

With a drawing open:

  • Click PLOT in the top right of the header, then in Plot Styles drop-down click Add Plot Styles.
  • In the Properties Panel, click Add Hatch Patterns at the bottom of the Hatch patterns list.

From the Home Page/File manager:

  • Click the New Drawing button at the top, then in the Drawing Templates list, click Add Drawing Templates.

Hope this helps!
