AutoCAD on the web - Cannot exit ARRAYEDIT mode

Hi, when I enter ARRAYEDIT mode, I can edit my array but there is no way to exit/ close the edit and save the work. It eternally remains in the ARRAYEDIT mode, and when I try to save the file it says "Caching..." (of course it does not save the file as it's in the middle of a command!)

Are you in the webapp? It's not a fully fleshed out version, it has its quirks, enjoy the ride.

@Anonymous

I'm sorry this is not working for you.  Let me see if I can get some info about the problem.

How are you starting the ARRAYEDIT?  double click the array or from the command line?

If you have a drawing that is particularly, could you share it?

Thanks,

Jon

Hi Jon,

I used ARRAYEDIT from command line. I share a reproducible test DWG for you. It's a simple array.

It seems that ARRAYCLOSE is not included in the web app, which is critical to finish editing an array. When I enter ARRAYCLOSE, it says Unsupported Command!

Hello,

ARRAYCLOSE is not supported in the AutoCAD web app but its not needed. The command line has an eXit option that ends the command. Both <enter> and <esc> will end the command with any changes updating the Array. In the screen shot you can see I changed the number of columns in an array and am still in the command.  At this point <esc> or <enter> will end the command with the number of columns updated.

Best regards,

-mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks, but it only works when you change number/spacing of columns and rows.

Try the following to reproduce my result:

build an array, then try to edit the source of the array (eg, scale the size of the source). In this scenario, you would not be able to close/exit edit. Interestingly, when I select the source item of my array, this note appears on the command line: "Entre ARRAYCLOSE to exit array editing state"

See screenshot attached.

Ugh, clearly I didn't dig deep enough.  I'll log a bug and we'll get it fixed.

Thank you for letting us know.

Hi @Anonymous ,

As far as I can see, the issue still exists in AutoCAD web.

@mwn mentioned his team is working on a fix. I'm unsure how long it takes. When it's resolved, I expect to receive a notification from you/ Mike, then I'll mark that notification as a solution. I hope it makes sense.

Hi Thomas,

Im experiencing the exact same issue as this user.

Has a solution been identified yet?

Id love to know before shutting down the drawing that is unsuccessfully trying to save.

Kind regards

Dan
